Reaching Slums and Villages with the Gospel India has many slums and villages. We are concentrating on the slums and villages in the state of Karnataka. Here people live in small huts and struggle daily to come out of poverty. Some people have just one meal a day – food, shelter and clothing are very sparse. Poor hygienic conditions, alcoholism, drugs and myriad kinds of evil practices play havoc in the lives of these poor people. A large number of them are children and young adults. Today is the day to reach them with the Gospel. JESUS said “I have come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10) Bethesda Ministries prays, works, waits and hopes for India to be saved; especially focusing on the slums and villages. We believe the key to reaching the rest of India lies in the hands of the younger generation, a large chunk of who are found in slums and villages. Pray with us for a rich harvest. |

In 1981, Pastor C Moses started using the powerful JESUS FILM to present JESUS to the people at slums and villages. As a result, today we have 9 churches and 5 house churches. This has been a blessing to different slums and villages. Our church buildings are small huts barely 15 x 10 feet in size. People sit on floor mats. We have 32 to 35 families in each church. We have many children and youth at our churches. To sponsor a Pastor and his ministry will cost £40 a month. There is a great need to support pastors this year. We strongly believe that a pastor must be supported for a period of five years; by then the pastor has to generate income from the church.
